The Wild West comes alive this summer as the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo returns to Colorado Springs, July 8–12, 2025! With over $1 million in payouts and the top competitors from the PRCA's U.S. and Canadian Circuits (plus Mexico's best), this is one of the most thrilling rodeos in the nation. But the excitement doesn't stop at the arena gates—this is a full-on Western experience you won't want to miss.

A Colorado Springs Tradition Since 1937

The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo has been entertaining and inspiring rodeo fans for nearly 90 years. Rooted in community and patriotism, the event proudly supports local military families from Fort Carson, the Air Force Academy, and surrounding bases. It's no surprise the PRCA chose Colorado Springs for its National Headquarters and Hall of Fame—this town lives and breathes rodeo.

Rodeo Action That'll Leave You Breathless

Expect the best of the best in classic rodeo events:

  • Bareback Riding

  • Saddle Bronc

  • Steer Wrestling

  • Breakaway Roping

  • Team Roping

  • Barrel Racing

  • Tie-Down Roping

  • And of course, Bull Riding

Held at the Norris Penrose Event Center, evening shows kick off at 7 PM, with Friday and Saturday matinees starting at noon. Gates open early, giving fans a chance to enjoy vendors, activities, and the full Western atmosphere before the main event.

Tickets: Where to Sit & How to Save

Tickets are on sale now at PikesPeakorBust.org. Don't wait—this event sells out every year!

  • Box Seats: Up close and personal with the action

  • Grandstand Seats: Great views from all angles

  • Endzone Seats: Perfect if you love watching the roping events up close

Avoid third-party websites and scams—buy only from the official site to guarantee your seat and the best price.

Parking Tips for a Smooth Ride

In 2025, all on-site parking requires a prepaid pass:

  • Premier Parking – $30 (closest to the venue)

  • Standard Parking – $10

Cash lot parking is available on a first-come basis, or take advantage of free off-site parking with continuous shuttle service.

More Than a Rodeo—It's a Western Festival

Before the bulls buck and the broncs ride, there's plenty to explore:

  • Shop Western-themed vendors for hats, boots, and keepsakes

  • Enjoy local food trucks and cold drinks

  • Bring the kids to the Fan Zone for pony rides, goat roping, and face painting

  • Watch the crowd-favorite Mutton Bustin' prelims

Adults can unwind in the Beer & Wine Corral, a relaxed spot to sip, mingle, and soak in the rodeo vibe.
